Dr. Wilcox is the Director of Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery Center of Texas. After graduating from Texas A&M University Magna Cum Laude, he attended the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas , graduating in 1984 near the top of his class.
After medical school Dr. Wilcox completed eight years of resident training in three specialties. He trained in General Surgery at the University of Florida from 1984 through 1989, and then returned to Dallas for his Plastic Surgery training at Southwestern Medical School . Afterwards, he was invited to remain as a fellow in Hand and Microsurgery at Southwestern.
Dr. Wilcox entered private practice in Plano and North Dallas in 1992, though he remains active in the teaching of Plastic Surgery as Clinical Assistant Professor at Southwestern Medical School . He has published and presented numerous scientific articles in the United States and abroad. He was awarded the American Medical Association's Physician Recognition Award. Dr. Wilcox remains current with the latest techniques in plastic and cosmetic surgery by regularly attending medical seminars, workshops, and conferences.
